Tripoli Outreach

Mission: To promote the safe practices of the Tripoli Rocketry Association in educational related rocketry activities and competitions.

The Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA) has an active outreach program aimed at promoting the safe and responsible practice of high-power rocketry. The program seeks to engage with a wide range of audiences, including students, educators, hobbyists, and the general public.

In addition, the outreach program supports local and regional rocketry events and competitions, providing support to help make these events a success. Getting Started in High Power Rocketry
An introductory guide covering motor classifications, certification levels, rocket construction, recovery systems, stability, and the fundamentals of safely entering high-power rocketry.

Establishing a New Launch Site
Practical guidance for identifying and establishing a launch site, including airspace, FAA authorization, landowner permission, local regulations, insurance, site logistics, and range operations.

TRA Mentor and Flyer of Record Program
Explains the qualifications and responsibilities of mentors and Flyers of Record who guide student teams and oversee the safe preparation and flight of high-power rockets.

International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC)
