The Tripoli Motor Testing Committee (TMT) carries out testing and certification of model rocket and high-power rocket motors. Their primary objective is to ensure that these rocket motors comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1125 safety standards. These standards outline the safety requirements that must be met by rocket motors to ensure safe and responsible use. To accomplish this, the TMT regularly performs tests on a wide range of rocket motors. These tests measure a variety of factors such as thrust, burn rate, and overall performance. Once the testing is complete, the results of these tests are recorded and documented for future reference. The records kept by the TMT include copies of notices of compliance that are issued to the manufacturers of the rocket motors that have passed the testing process. These notices of compliance certify that the rocket motor has met all of the safety requirements set forth by the NFPA 1125 standards. In addition to the notices of compliance, the TMT also records motor performance data. This data is made publicly available and can be accessed through the thrustcurve.org website.
