We wanted to provide a quick update on membership card printing.
Unfortunately, our card printer has once again stopped working. Over the past several weeks, the printer has been repaired multiple times, but the issue continues to return. At this point, the printer is being sent back to the manufacturer so they can perform a more thorough evaluation and determine the root cause of the recurring problem.
The good news is that a replacement printer is on its way to HQ. Once it arrives, we'll need a little time to get it set up, tested, and producing cards again.
Senior and Junior members normally receive a printed membership card. Student members utilize the digital membership card available through the member portal. During this delay, we encourage all members awaiting a printed card to use their digital card, which serves as the official proof of membership and certification status. For most purposes, the digital card works just as well as the plastic one.
We're also evaluating several longer-term solutions to improve the process and help ensure that a single printer issue doesn't create delays like this in the future.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this. To help HQ focus on restoring card production and processing the backlog, we ask that members refrain from contacting HQ regarding the status of their membership card. Once printing capability is restored, cards will be produced and mailed as quickly as possible in the order they were received.
Thank you for your continued support and understading.
